Lawyer for investigative journalist Kissi Agyabeng says the anti-corruption campaigner Martin Amidu is tarnishing his own reputation by his persistent attacks on Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
According to him, the former attorney general is working hard to erode his own achievement and esteem in the eyes of the public.
Amidu and Anas are in a battle of statements following claims by the former that the recent expose’ on the judiciary by the journalist was commissioned by the government.
He has also claimed that the company through which Anas produced his the investigative piece is “dummy” and illegal. It is also his believe that Anas and his Tiger Eye PI are involved in “selecting reporting” of their works in effort to please the government.
Tiger Eye and Anas have, however, described the claims as baseless and a desperate attempt to seek unnecessary attention to himself.
Agyabeng said they are not perturbed by the chase of Amidu.
“It’s sad that somebody of his standing can do this to himself, history will be kind to him but he should stop doing this to himself.
“ Tiger Eye PI is in good standing in law and has nothing to prove to Amidu, he is tarnishing his own image by what he is doing. He should just applaud Anas for his works and stop this needless attacks,” he said.
