Tigo Cash customers to receive over GHS1 million in quarterly interest payments

Telecom brand of the year, Tigo Ghana, will pay over GHS1 million in quarterly interest earned by over three million customers on its award-winning mobile money solution, Tigo Cash.

The payment, which will be done in two tranches, is in line with the company’s commitment to broaden financial inclusion in the country and the Guidelines for E-Money Issuers approved by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).

Tigo Insurance pays 10,000th claimant

Tigo Insurance has reached yet another milestone, paying out its 10,000th claim. With this claim, Tigo has paid over GHS 6.2 million to policyholders since the introduction of Tigo Insurance in 2010.

The 10, 000th claimant is 21-year-old Foster Quist Sarfo, a student of Central University College in Accra.
